Lara Dutta keeps Mahesh waiting

Actress Lara Dutta was recently shooting at a suburban studio when her 'good friend' Mahesh Bhupathi came to see her.

It was a surprise visit and she was busy with work. So, the tennis star had to wait for her patiently. Later, the two unofficial love birds flew to London where Bhupathi had business to attend.

Maybe, Lara had to do the waiting this time.

Riya Sen goes supernatural

In her next, a supernatural thriller titled Jennifer, actress Riya Sen plays the protagonist. She is paired with newcomer Eddie Seth. She says, "Jennifer is based on jinns or Muslim spirits."

 She doesn't play a ghost in the film but a certain character in the film gets obsessed by her. "That's usually the case with jinns. They exist and either help people or ruin them."

She claims to have done her own styling in the film and has apparently worn minimal make-up. She admits, "My look is very natural. I play a very confident, no-nonsense, girl who is comfortable in her skin.

The character smokes in the film and that's shown in a good light. People who smoke and drink are not bad people!"

Shahrukh ka jadoo in Kolkata

Shahrukh Khan had recently sprinkled his magic in Kolkata by gracing the finale of the popular quiz show, ‘Dadagiri Unlimited’ hosted by Kolkata Knight Riders captain Sourav Ganguly.

 However, the Baadshah landed at the avenue, at Mohun Bagan Athletic Club quite late. According to sources, SRK was supposed to be in Kolkata around 3.40 pm but his flight landed around 7.54 pm; a delay said to be due to the fog. It is heard that Shahrukh had boarded a full economy class flight.

Shahrukh Khan: Dulha Mil Gaya Music Review

Finally (and yes finally) Dulha Mil Gaya gets ready for it's arrival. After being in news for close to two years, it was high time that the film eventually sees a release. What also gets one excited about the music album of Dulha Mil Gaya is the fact that it has Lalit Pandit (of Jatin-Lalit duo) at the helm of affairs.

Together, Jatin and Lalit gave chartbuster tracks for many a Shah Rukh Khan films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Mohabbatein, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Yes Boss and the biggest of them all - Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. However, ever since their split, they haven't been able to come up with even a single memorable album. This is why one looks forward to see what Lalit has managed to create for this film that has Shah Rukh Khan playing a pivotal role. Muddassar Aziz, who is also the director of the movie, writes the lyrics.

MUSIC
This one is a voluminous album and the first track to come is 'Akela Dil' that has a groove similar to that of 'Gela Gela Dil Gela Gela' (Aitraaz). An unmistakable calypso rhythm is on the fore front here too, given the fact that the film is set in the Caribbean. Adnan Sami gets into an intoxicated and relaxed mood as per the demand of the situation and gets his own lazy style in place to sing 'Akela Dil' that has Anushka Manchanda giving able support. This is a kind of track that should add on to the visual appeal of the film. It's 'remix version' adds on the zing and should find a place in the clubs and discotheques.

Deepika joins the crorepati bandwagon

Deepika Padukone has emerged as the reigning queen of the ad world during 2009. The actress has doubled her take-home income compared to what she was worth in 2007-2008. Deepika is much sought after in both premium and mass brands, right from high-end watches, airlines, clotheslines and even chewing gum.

According to industry estimates, from a time when she was charging around Rs 60 lakh for an endorsement, Deepika now demands almost Rs 1.5 crore per ad, following in the footsteps of Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif (both around Rs 2 crore an ad) and Priyanka Chopra (Rs 1.5-2 crore).

"I think what made people accept me is that I can be glamourous and also the girl-next-door. I have heard this from people who have approached me with campaigns and endorsement offers. I have worked really hard to get what I'm getting. I'm very passionate about movies and my constant effort is to outdo myself and challenge my acting skills. I'm happy with what I have got - but this isn't enough," Deepika told a daily.

Salman bans bikini for Katrina

As we all know Bollywood hunk Salman Khan is a possessive boyfriend. He has put on certain restriction on Katrina Kaif which sometimes takes a toll on her career. He does not want Katrina Kaif to wear revealing clothes in films and further imposed restriction on wearing bikini. Where all Bollywood hotties are showing inclination towards bikini, Salman Khan has totally put a ban on it.

Rakesh Roshan first roped in Katrina Kaif for ‘Krrish 2’ opposite Hrithik Roshan but when it was learnt to Katrina that she need to wear a bikini in the film, she turned down the offer as she was not allowed to wear a bikini. Finding no other option, Rakesh Roshan later dropped Kat and signed in Deepika Padukone who is more than happy to star opposite Hrithik.

Salman and Katrina have always been in news for their on and off relationship. It was even heard that Katrina called off her relationship with Salman recently.
